our response

We believe that two things are necessary to help a child begin to heal:  the love and stability of a healthy family and holistic, individualized care.

Every child we care for has a background of trauma.  Our children’s histories have taught them they cannot trust the people who are supposed to care for them.  We seek to build back that broken trust over time through the means of a stable, loving family consistently meeting the child’s needs.  Due to what they have experienced, our children come to us with often complex spiritual, physical, educational, and emotional needs that must be addressed holistically.  In addition to being comprehensive in nature, the care each child receives must be tailored to meet his personal needs.  There is no one-size-fits-all formula; as each child is unique, his care plan must be, as well.

family model

Boys are placed in homes with a Christian, Peruvian couple.

Much is learned through simple, day-to-day activities such as eating meals together, doing chores together, studying together, and living together.

By observing his house father, a child is able to more fully understand what it means to be a present father and faithful husband.

holistic care

Physical – We provide a safe home, quality food and clothing, and good health and dental care.

Educational – Our professors and house parents supplement our children’s schooling to assist them in reaching their full potential.

Emotional – Staff psychologists work with our children and their house parents to address past emotional trauma.

Spiritual – Our staff demonstrates to our children, in both word and deed, what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
